Using music to talk about mental health

By Taylor Flood

Mental health is often something that people deal with by themselves.  It can be overwhelming, scary and make even the best of us feel alone. Here are a few songs to remind you that mental health affects everyone and that you are never too far from help.

In My Blood - Shawn Mendes

Shawn Mendes opens up about his experiences with anxiety as he rocketed to stardom and how it can affect everyone differently for different reasons. "It was kind of something that hit me last year. Growing up, I was a pretty calm kid. I knew people who suffered from anxiety, found it kind of hard to understand, and then when it hits you, you’re like, 'Oh my god, this is crazy.'"
